Rangoon aerodrome

Nice to see the old term aerodrome” in the Rangoon airport logo, it brings back the memories of the days when it would take a day and half to fly between Delhi and Rangoon - with rest and refuelling stops in Allahabad, Calcutta and Akyab (Sittwe).

What surprises me is that the newsreels from 1930s already feature the newer term airport”. Perhaps the people currently running the airport are also nostalgic folks like me.
